This year’s design survey drew slightly more architecture and engineering firms in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut than in the past few years. That is, 106 firms participated in the survey this year, compared with 90 last year, 100 in the prior year, and 95 in 2011.

As in past years, however, the big projects at these firms span the public and private sectors and all major markets including health care and transportation. Readers of this blog space and the magazine already know that those are still growth sectors in the region, adding to what industry executives see as a gradual recovery.

The ranking of each firm by their regional revenues will run in ENR New York’s May 19/25 issue, along with breakouts of firms by specializations. The issue will also feature the design firm of the year, which will be chosen by ENR’s regional editors.

Below is an alphabetical list of those who participated in this year’s survey. For more details, look for our next issue in May.
