The votes are in and our panel of industry veterans has chosen 37 winners in this year's Best Projects competition for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Come Nov. 6—when we'll host the Best Projects awards breakfast—some of these 37 will take home the top prize for a specific category and others will claim awards of merit. But just one will take the title of THE New York region's Best Project.

This year's winners are located across the tristate region and span 17 sectors from Culture and Education to Water and Transit. They include one project valued at more than $1 billion and others that totaled only a few million.

For this year's contest, our panel of five distinguished judges from the A/E/C industry studied 67 projects to select the winners. Judges were free to move a project from one category into another that they deemed a better fit, so a project may have placed in a category other than the one in which it was submitted.

Below is an almost-complete list of the winners by category and their submitters. Further details and photos of each of these projects will be presented at the awards breakfast that honors all the winners as well as in ENR New York's November issue.

The list contains all the merit and category winners as well as the four finalists for consideration of this year's overall prize. Like last year, we've decided to provide only the top contenders but keep the actual winner a secret until November when it will be revealed at both the breakfast and in the magazine.

Also, please note that the separate Safety category of this competition is still being judged. We look forward to announcing this year's Safety Award winner in this blog spot on Sept. 2 and, of course, honoring that winner at the November breakfast and in the magazine as well.

Meantime, join us here at ENR New York in congratulating all the winners.
