I'd like to thank everyone for the way our January Construction CPM Conference is shaping up. It's very exciting and momentum is still building.

The conference will take place Jan. 12-15, 2011, at the Swan & Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World in Florida.

With 109 registrants six weeks out, we are trending to surpass 300 attendees.

Our full program continues to be augmented by additional programs both during and preceding the conference. Oracle Primavera has taken one of our rooms for the duration of the conference to provide an Oracle One-on-One Clinic. Attendees will be able to reserve a 25 minute personal session with one of their experts.

AACE will be hosting their PSP exam on Wednesday January 12th. PMA Technologies will also be hosting their First Annual Netpoint User Conference at our venue on the 12th

And now Mid-State Solutions,Inc. Specialized Oracle Primavera Partner, will be providing Oracle University Primavera Class #102 at their nearby Celebration location on January 10, 11 and 12. Conference attendees who arrange to arrive early for this additional program will be provided a discount course fee, and complementary transportation from the Swan Resort.

All three events will end in time to attend the Oracle Primavera sponsored Wednesday Welcome Reception as our conference kicks off.

On Thursday, we have our kickoff session featuring Joel Koppelman and Dick Faris of Oracle Primavera, John Owen of Deltek Open Plan, and Jim O’Brien (the “historian” if not the founder of CPM).

The conference sessions will then begin and attendees will be able to hear experts on CPM and Project Controls theory, attend a variety of project showcase presentations, or become familiar with three or more CPM software products in Introductory through Advanced sessions.

The Day culminates with a Happy Hour Reception sponsored by Deltek Open Plan, dinner on-your-own or in our Dine with Five New Friends program, and then One Last Drink Late Night Networking at Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s Boardwalk.

On Friday, the day starts with a keynote address by Irv Richter of Hill International, then more conference sessions.

OPSIG (Oracle Primavera Special Interest Group) has reserved a end-of-day session for an in-promptu membership meeting (open to all who care to attend). Other groups are considering having similar end-of-day gatherings.  And then Microsoft will be sponsoring our Friday Evening Dessert & Fireworks Reception at EPCOT®, this then to be followed by Extra Magic Hours into the night.

Saturday will feature specialized courses and presentations ranging from a “litigation track” culminating in a mock trial, to “Tips and Tricks for System Administrators” of P6 and Contract Management, to theory and practice in EVM, Cost, CAD and BIM.

The deadline for early-bird pricing and discounted accommodations at the Swan is December 15th. I hope to see you there.
