New data have been released on the economic stimulus, including a list of the 10 largest federal contracts awarded so far, and Dept. of Energy environmental cleanup contracts are well represented.

The information is based on the first batch of ARRA contract reports filed by those who won the work. Under the recovery act, prime award recipients and "sub-recipients" must file reports within 30 days of the end of a quarter on how the funds wre used

in all, according to the prelminary results from TKKTKTK, there were 8,927 contracts, 102,901 grants and 391 ARRA loans awarded for the reporting period that ended Oct. 10. Those awards resulted in 30,383 jobs preserved or created. Colorado ranks first on the jobs list, with 4,695. Washington is second, at 2,909 and California is third, with 2,260 jobs.

CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Co., in Washington, won the second lagrest ARRA federal grant so far, about $1.4 billion. CH2M Hill WG Idaho LLC's contract ranks third, tieh $437.7 million.
