Trumark Urban has been busy lately. On May 22 the developer broke ground on two different mixed-use projects in its hometown city of San Francisco. In the morning, the company cut the ribbon on Rowan in the city’s burgeoning Inner Mission district, and in the afternoon, it launched construction on Knox, in the Dogpatch neighborhood. Together, both projects are vauled at more than $100 million.

Featuring an external, cast-in-place concrete structure designed by the San Francisco office of Handel Architects, the seven-story Rowan will offer 70 residents in one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. The 71,000-sq-ft mixed-use condominium development will be highlighted by vibrant communal spaces, and an impressive 3,200 sq-ft roof terrace with gas barbeques, vertical gardens, and stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. The project is scheduled to complete in fall of 2016 and be GreenPoint Rated, while boasting one dedicated City CarShare space and electric vehicle charging stations.

After breaking ground at Rowan, Trumark and project officials headed over to Knox, a 91-unit mixed-use project in the vibrant and eccentric Dogpatch neighborhood. Knox will feature 91 units in a variety of sizes, including several family-friendly three-bedroom units, along with intimate communal spaces and locally-sourced artwork, including a water feature created from a reclaimed bridge.

Designed by San Francisco-based BDE Architects, with the interior design by SCB Architects of San Francisco, the roughly 135,000 sq-ft Knox will be GreenPoint Rated, and feature an electric vehicle charging station, a sustainably landscaped courtyard with a butterfly habitat; two dedicated City CarShare spaces, and a green roof. The project is slated to complete in spring 2016.

Rowan and Knox are the latest projects in Trumark's California portfolio. In March of this year, the firm broke ground on TEN50, a 151-unit luxury high-rise condominium tower in downtown Los Angeles, and in San Francisco, construction continues on The Pacific, the high-profile former dental school located in Pacific Heights that boasts sweeping Golden Gate Bridge views.  Amero, a boutique residential property in the city’s Cow Hollow neighborhood, was completed in 2014. Through the company’s various developments, Trumark Urban will create over 2,500 new jobs nationally, say company officials.

"We have worked closely with city and community leaders, neighborhood stakeholders and local residents to ensure that we are true partners and create developments that respect and enhance the unique neighborhoods that our projects call home."
