In our industry, change is an essential element of growth and I am excited to tell you about some very positive changes coming to California Construction Magazine in 2011.

For one, our sister publication, Engineering News-Record, is expanding its award-winning national coverage to report on the projects, companies, and people who are making a difference locally.
That’s where California Construction and the other regional publications come in: We will all be part of the ENR universe.

In recent reader research, our subscribers identified “regional news” as the most compelling enhancement we could make – and we listened. The result is seven new regional editions of ENR that will provide the insights you’ve come to expect from ENR, including local rankings, company profiles, people news, and a new “City Scoop” section that will leverage project information from McGraw-Hill Construction’s Dodge Reports. Our “Digging Deeper” features will focus on various sectors in the A/E/C industry – and we’ll want your ideas, feedback and contributions as expert sources.

These new features will be available through regional editions to ENR in the following markets: California, Midwest, Mountain States, Southeast, Southwest, Texas & Louisiana, and New York.

The editors at McGraw-Hill Construction will continue to bring you the latest news on the industry delivered in the most visually appealing, reader- and user-friendly way in which we are able. Look for new user-generated photo galleries, industry event reports, opportunities to be highlighted in our industry leaders top lists and more.

ENR California
will be published within the ENR national editions on Feb. 7, April 11, June 6, Aug. 1, Oct. 10 and Dec. 5. And while we’re at it, here’s a look at our new logo:
