A couple of housekeeping items…
* If you haven’t already, remember to fill out this year’s Top Contractors survey. The survey is available on our homepage or here.
The Top Contractors rankings will appear in California Construction’s April 2010 issue. The Top Contractors rankings are intended for general contractors, construction managers and program managers, and are based on regional construction revenue from the calendar year of 2009 (January 2009 to December 2009).
Remember to report only your firm’s share of construction revenue from projects, NOT total construction revenue generated for all parties to a project. The total construction revenue should not exceed that reported on a 10K or similiar financial report.
This year, we’re asking about regional green construction revenue as well. These will be based on projects that have been registered with third-party green building or sustainable construction ratings organizations. A Top Green Contractors ranking will appear in our May issue.
* The McGraw-Hill Regional Publications have changed some publishing schedules this year. California Construction will now appear nine times. We are combining the February/March and September/October issues (January is our Directory and Forecast issue).
* Once again, McGraw-Hill Construction and the Associated General Contractors of California are teaming up for a series of 2010 Construction Outlook/Stimulus Update events. McGraw-Hill Construction Economist Cliff Brewis and a panel of California’s top owners will cover key opportunities and target growth markets while helping participants make critical decisions in what appears to be another rough year. The national and regional forecast presentation will also cover construction’s economic environment and market trends that will impact the industry in 2010 and beyond. Brewis will also provide a stimulus project update.
Reserved tickets are $95 and the first 50 to register per location will receive a copy of McGraw-Hill Construction’s Outlook 2010 (a $495 value).
On Feb. 9, Outlook will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Ramada Inn & Plaza Harbor Conference Center in West Sacramento. For information, contact Delia Campos at (916) 371-2422.
On Feb. 10, Outlook is coming to at the Corinthian Event Center in San Jose. Same time (7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.). For information, contact Kristen Fracisco at (925) 827-2422.
