Microsoft’s Thermal Energy Center provides more than power for the tech giant’s headquarters in Redmond, Wash. It’s a source of pride for the engineering, design and construction team behind the project.
All work associated with removal of the first of four hydroelectric dams slated for demolition on the Klamath River in California and Oregon has been completed by contractor Kiewit, said dam owner Klamath River Renewal Corp. earlier this month.
The project is planned to include design and construction of a 2,625-ft-long, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel to replace the aging four-lane George Massey Tunnel.
