Judges examined each project in an effort to distinguish the best from the best in terms of teamwork, safety, overcoming challenges, innovation and quality.
ENR’s Excellence in Safety Award is now in its ninth year as part of the annual regional Best Projects competition. This year, ENR Texas & Louisiana is honoring four projects for their outstanding safety records and job-site procedures.
ENR Texas & Louisiana honors 18 Best Projects and 29 Awards of Merit across 18 categories, and announces a new special award for Excellence in Sustainability.
Winning projects will be covered in more detail in the October issue of ENR Mountain States, and the winners will be honored at awards events in Denver and Salt Lake City during the last week of October.
ENR Midwest's finalists for Project of the Year are a Populous-designed sports stadium with a stunning PTFE roof and sides that evokes Minnesota's northern lights, the latest in acoustic technology at a new music venue at the University of Wisconsin and a twisting, scenic pedestrian bridge in Dublin, Ohio.
