Construction of 2,000 megawatts of wind power off Massachusetts’ shores could cut the current price in half, according to a new study released by the University of Delaware’s Special Initiative on Offshore Wind.
Notable headlines include a new 75,000-sq-ft office campus on Lake Washington, a five-farm wind project in Oregon, an honorary engineering scholarship and an award-winning student group at OSU.
After facing some delays, Iberdrola Renewables has resumed construction on the El Cabo Wind Farm in Torrance County, N.M. Upon completion, the 298-megawatt project will be the largest of its kind in the state.
Delays at the Greater Gabbard project mean that the wind farm off the English coast will be the world’s largest offshore wind farm only briefly, till the larger London Array project reaches construction completion.
