Harvest Midstream Co. is planning to construct a liquefied natural gas plant near Deadhorse. The project scope includes construction of building space and equipment foundations; and purchase and installation of gas processing and liquefaction units, storage tanks, process piping, and truck loadout and supporting equipment. The plant will have the capacity to process 15 million cu ft of natural gas per day to produce 150,000 gallons of LNG per day that will be trucked to Interior Gas Utility’s service areas in Fairbanks and North Pole. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2023. Harvest Midstream is a subsidiary of Hilcorp Energy Co. The estimated EPC cost is between $100 million and $150 million.
