Brasfield & Gorrie and Clemson University broke ground Dec. 7 on a $37.5-million expansion to the Division I university’s athletic facilities that included new and upgraded lakefront lacrosse, gymnastics and rowing facilities. The development’s lacrosse stadium will include bleacher seating and artificial turf, a 9,000-sq-ft operations complex and other amenities. A 21,000-sq-ft facility will be the home for day-to-day operations for the Clemson gymnastics team, with practice gym, offices, locker room, lounge and training area. The rowing center will be renovated with updates to the training room facility, building infrastructure and other cosmetic updates. A 10,000-sq-ft training and recovery facility will be built adjacent to the three facilities.
