The National Hispanic Contractors Association (NAHICA) has appointed a new president, Sergio Terreros. He is the current president of the Hispanic advertising agency 11/11 Media. During his time at the firm, Terreros played a major role in organizing the only Hispanic construction expo in Texas, ExpoContratista, which hosts thousands of contractors, exhibitors and partners every year in Houston and Dallas.
John Shaw has joined Garver as chief people officer and will manage the company’s human resources efforts nationwide. With almost three decades of human resources experience, Shaw brings knowledge from across the health care, banking and construction industries. He will be based in Garver’s office in Rogers, Ark. Garver also announced that director of transportation Jerry Holder has been named president of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Arkansas for 2022-2023. Holder has served as Garver’s director of transportation since 2012. In addition, Jason Langhammer, a bridge team leader, and Shannon McGarrah, a construction services team leader, were both recently inducted into the 2022 class of the Arkansas Academy of Civil Engineering (AACE).
