Construction's jobs momentum waned in April, with workforce reductions by nonresidential specialty contractors the primary factor pushing down industry's overall monthly gain to just 2,000 positions, the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics has reported.
At the same time, the industry’s unemployment rate reached a record low for the month of April as it improved from March’s level and was much lower than the year-earlier figure.
