One worker was killed and two others were injured on the site of a Georgia bridge demolition project on Oct. 19 when a portion of the structure collapsed. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
The workers had started sawing on the bridge on Access Road near I-20 in Newton County, southeast of Atlanta, when the center section of the bridge fell into the Yellow River, according to the Georgia Dept. of Transportation.
