Georgia AMLI Residential is planning to redevelop the former Cox Communications office complex, occupying a 21.14-acre site in Brookhaven, into a mixed-use development. The AMLI Lake Hearn mixed-use project will involve demolishing the existing 292,000-sq-ft office building and erecting a five-story, 600,0000-sq-ft wood-frame building containing 615 apartments and 25,000 sq ft of commercial space; 5.14 acres will be devoted to park space. Indiana Indianapolis Public Transportation Corp. is planning to construct the Purple Line Bus Rapid Transit line. The 14.8-mile-long route connects the City of Indianapolis and the City of Lawrence, and features 23 new stations, along with eight existing stations. It will also include a mile-long greenway along the north side of 38th Street, from Tacoma to Sheridan. It is being designed by WSP USA Inc., and the project is valued at $140 million.
