Keeping track of power tools and other assets through a Bluetooth-based distributed network has been the intended purpose of Milwaukee Tool’s One-Key system. But the platform is starting to broaden its scope and share its data. Milwaukee Tool has announced that One-Key now integrates into Autodesk Construction Cloud’s BIM 360 platform.
The One-Key network currently tracks the locations of nearly six million tools and related assets. Tools can be associated with users and projects for easier tracking. Now project and contact data can be imported directly from BIM 360 into the One-Key system. This integration will also allow usage and performance data from some One-Key-enabled tools to be directly imported back into BIM 360, including the torque reports from Milwaukee Tool’s M12 FUEL Digital Torque Wrenches. BIM 360 will attach the torque report of each tightened bolt in the field to the relevant part of the project’s BIM model.
