While Neves says some projects have been delayed due to the current uncertainty, overall “we have seen steady and continuous procurement of government, health care and commercial projects.” Regarding residential construction, Neves adds that the pace of condominium projects has slowed in comparison to rental projects, and public-sector projects seem to be progressing through procurement more quickly than private-sector projects. “We anticipate that this may rebalance in 6-12 months when the market uncertainty due to the pandemic has diminished,” he says.”
