Indiana The U.S. General Services Administration is planning to renovate between 160,000 sq ft and 200,00 sq ft on the first and second floors of the Fort Benjamin Harrison Bean Center, a 1.6-million-sq-ft federal office building in Lawrence. GSA is in the process of selecting an architect and expects to make its selection on May 10, 2020. The proposed construction spaces will be vacant; however, the building will be occupied by other tenants during the work performance period(s). Hazardous material abatement/remediation will be required as part of these renovations. The project is valued at $45 million. Maine Chinburg Builders is planning to redevelop the Continental Mill building in Lewiston into a mixed-use project, with affordable apartments, light industrial space and office space. The mill building covers 560,000 sq ft, and the property includes another 7 acres. It has 650 ft of frontage on the Androscoggin River and 40,000 sq ft of parking. Erected in 1860 as a cotton mill, the building most recently housed Falcon Performance Footwear and Bourgeois Guitars factories. The project is valued at between $25 million and $50 million.
