Maine Whole Oceans is planning to construct an Atlantic salmon farm aquaculture facility at the former Verso Paper site in Bucksport. The complex will include a 90,000-sq-ft freshwater building where salmon eggs would be hatched and fish raised to 10 months of age, and a south grow-out building containing large recirculating aquaculture systems to raise the fish to a size suitable for sale. Minnesota Xcel Energy is planning to build 200 electric car charging stations for state-owned vehicles and 100 for city-owned cars in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The network is also expected to serve Metro Transit, which is expanding its fleet of electric buses. The project is valued at $25 million.
