Southeast City Scoop: Jacksonville Construction Starts
John Bottaro Executive Vice President RS&H
Like other cities, Jacksonville continues to focus on developing its downtown area, says Bottaro. VyStar Credit Union’s new headquarters will bring nearly 1,000 workers downtown, while residential projects could push the number of full-time downtown residents to more than 10,000, a goal of city officials. Also, Bottaro adds, a new entertainment district being developed adjacent to the stadium for the Jacksonville Jaguars will include the construction of a 300-unit residential tower, a 200-room boutique hotel and a 120,000-sq-ft office tower.
