Connecticut Mandates State to Buy 2GW of Offshore Wind Energy by 2030
Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) on June 7 authorized the state to purchase up to 2,000 MW of offshore wind energy to be put in place by 2030, about 30% of its load.
The state will issue a draft request for proposals on July 1. Each bidder must submit at least one proposal for a minimum of 400 MW, to be built under a project labor pact.
