Maine Maine Water Co. is planning to build the Saco River water treatment facility in Biddeford. It will replace a 133-year-old existing treatment facility that sits squarely in the floodplain. The new facility will be well out of the floodplain. It is being designed by Hazen & Sawyer PC, and PC Construction Co. has been selected as the construction manager. Michigan The University of Michigan is planning to convert the Alexander Ruthven Museums building into the university’s central administration building. The four-story building, erected in 1928, was designed by Albert Kahn. The project includes the demolition of a 1964 addition of about 34,000 sq ft, which will be replaced by a 100,000-sq-ft building for classrooms. It has been designed by Harley Ellis Devereaux, and the Barton Malow Co. has been chosen as the construction manager. The project is valued at $150 million.
