California The Santa Clara Valley Water District is planning to carry out the Pacheco Reservoir Expansion project. The project entails constructing a new 319-ft long earthen dam with a concrete spillway, which will increase the reservoir’s capacity to 140,000 acre-ft. It also includes new pipelines and a mile-long tunnel connecting the new reservoir to the Pacheco Conduit, and a new pump station.
