Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will receive a $30-million stipend over five years to build and operate an Advanced Quantum Computing Testbed, the Dept. of Energy announced on Sept. 24.
The testbed will allow researchers to explore superconducting quantum processors and evaluate how these emerging quantum devices can be used for advancing scientific research. In conjunction, LBNL will collaborate with MIT-Lincoln Lab to deploy different quantum processor architectures.
