MidAtlantic People: Construction business updates for August 2018
B.H. “Chip” Scott II has been appointed president at Grunley Construction Co., a Rockville, Md.,-based general contractor. Scott succeeds Kenneth M. Grunley, who will continue as chief executive. Scott joined the $400-million company 14 years ago as a project executive and most recently was senior vice president of operations. Grunley also promoted George Rusk to senior vice president of preconstruction. The company elevated Kenneth Terry to vice president of operations and Mark Laudo to vice president of preconstruction. Adam Grunley, Kenneth Grunley’s son, was recently named vice president of strategic development.
Michael J. Konieczka was named president and chief operating officer of Wagman Construction Inc., a heavy civil, general construction and geotechnical company. Konieczka, who will continue to be based at the firm’s York, Pa., headquarters, has been its executive vice president for the past two years. He has worked in the higher education, health care, commercial, senior living, hospitality and multifamily residential markets. Konieczka is a member of the Lean Construction Institute.
