MWH Constructors has been selected by Logan, Utah, on a CM/GC contract for the city’s $107-million Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility project. The facility will produce higher-quality effluent flows to the nearby Cutler Reservoir and allow the city to treat a greater amount of wastewater to a higher quality with a smaller footprint.
The existing lagoon system had to be replaced because of updates in effluent limits, the need to more efficiently clean and filter water and estimated population growth in the area. Once complete, it will increase the city’s treatment capacity to 18 million gallons per day.
