Mountain States City Scoop: Construction Starts in Denver
Aaron Burns Vice President Waterpower/Dams MWH (now part of Stantec)
“Across the Front Range, we are witnessing proactive planning by communities. They are upgrading aging infrastructure while also increasing water storage in preparation for potential droughts. Each spring, while the Rocky Mountains provide an ample source of water, the key is capturing and storing that water so that it lasts into drier years if needed,” Burns says. “Communities are continuing to look for ways to upgrade and add new infrastructure such as reservoirs and dams to address the growing needs of their residents.”
