Though expected to slow down soon, Atlanta’s market for residential high-rise and urban infill projects continues to dominate, says Macon. “I do think that’s going to change,” he says, adding that wood-framed apartment work is already showing signs of slowing. Recent announcements of corporate relocations to Atlanta are driving relative strength in the build-to-suit office market, although speculative projects remain “on the horizon,” he says. Also, “there is quite a bit of opportunity in the hospitality market,” Macon says.
