Michael Steffen has joined HNTB Corp.’s Kansas City, Mo., office as senior systems project manager, specializing in positive train control. He will provide leadership in design reviews and help develop safety-critical system requirements and tracing. Steffen previously served at a rail technology supply company on the Denver Eagle P3 rail project, where he helped implement the first interoperable train control/PTC-based wireless crossings system in North America.
Minneapolis-based engineering firm Michaud Cooley Erickson recently appointed principals Jessica Christiansen andRon Kruzeski to its 10-member operations committee. Christiansen joined the firm in 2008, while Kruzeski has been with MCE since 1991.
