Hawaii Capbridge Pacific LLC is planning to redevelop the Maui Lu Resort in Kihei in phases. The revamped resort, to be called Maui Bay Villas, will have 388 time-share units, each averaging 1,200 sq ft in 12 one- to four-story buildings; swimming pools and 200 on-grade surface parking spots. The project also will involve demolishing the existing Maui Lu Resort complex on the Mauka side. Iowa R&R Realty Group is planning to build the Westfield Office Complex at Country Club Plaza in West Des Moines. The four-story, 180,000-sq-ft building will feature two 80,000-sq-ft wings, connected by a large central atrium, and will offer underground parking and a rooftop patio for employees. Ohio The Dragonfly Foundation and the Ackermann Group are planning to develop Dragonfly Landing 3.0. Louisiana Palmisano Contractors has begun to redevelop the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church school building and rectory in New Orleans into a 71-room, 49,856-sq-ft, independently run boutique hotel. The 156-year-old church building will be renovated and used as a community events area. In order to make habitable guest rooms in the tall attic space of the school building, either dormers or skylights will be installed to bring in natural light. Montana PCE Constructors Inc. has begun to build a hydrogen plant at the CHS refinery in Laurel. The 40,000-cu-meter-per-hour grassroots hydrogen plant is part of ongoing upgrades to boost efficiency, increase diesel production and process additional crudes at the refinery. New Hampshire Methuen Construction Co. Inc. has started upgrading the Peirce Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Portsmouth.
