UP Health System-Marquette is planning a $200-million replacement facility for the former Marquette General Hospital. Construction manager Skanska was scheduled to release new drawings in March, with bids due April 5 and construction to start mid-May. The project includes three buildings seven stories above grade. Gresham Smith & Partners is the project architect. When UP Health System parent company Duke LifePoint acquired Marquette General Hospital in 2012, a stipulation committed a minimum $300 million in capital improvements over 10 years. Ohio Dept. of Transportation has plans to replace the decks of the twin IR-480 bridges over the Cuyahoga River Valley in Valley View and Independence, south of Cleveland.
