Alabama Airbus is planning to build its first assembly plant in the U.S. in Mobile. The project entails building a 1.5-million-sq-ft plant at Brookley Aeroplex that will produce 150-seat A320 planes. Illinois Ivanhoe Cambridge and Hines, two major real estate developers, are planning to build River Point, an office building, in downtown Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. The project entails building a 45-story, 900,000-sq-ft building at 444 West Lake St. The project will include a parking garage, as well as a 1.5-acre public park built over rail tracks, which will connect the office tower to the Chicago Riverwalk. It is being designed by Pickard Chilton. Construction is expected to begin in late 2012 and be completed in early 2016. The project is valued at $300 million.
