California Poseidon Resources Corp. is planning to build a desalination plant in Carlsbad. The project entails building a seawater desalination facility with the capacity to deliver 50 million gallons of potable water a day as well as a 10-mile-long water-conveyance pipeline. Missouri The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $12-million firm-fixed-price contract to Brigadier Construction Services LLC for the partial renovation of the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City.
