A Princeton, N.J.-based nonprofit organization for construction industry financial professionals is conducting a major survey of the industry’s information technology plans and practices.

The Construction Financial Management Association has been conducting the surveys every two years since 1996. The purpose is to create a research tool and provide insights into the evolving trends. Forms are expected to be posted at www.cfma.org on Nov. 20.

The 11-page survey seeks information on hardware and software use, including products for collaboration and Web-based project management. It tracks the rate of adoption of new technologies, such as bar coding, wireless and handhelds.
