Four Senate Democrats, led by Environment and Public Works Committee Chair Barbara Boxer (Calif.), have introduced a resolution calling for Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen L. Johnson to resign.
In their July 29 resolution, the lawmakers contend Johnson gave misleading testimony before Congress and refused congressional oversight related to questions about EPA’s decision to deny a waiver under the Clean Air Act. The waiver would have allowed California to set its own standards to regulate emissions from autos and other vehicles.
