Senate Passes to $109 billion Bill for Iraq War, Gulf Coast Rebuilding
The Senate has approved a to $109 billion supplemental spending measure that includes $28.9 billion to continue rebuilding the Gulf Coast after last year's hurricane's.
The Senate vote on May 4 sets up a difficult conference with the House, which passed a $92-billion bill in March. The White House has said President Bush will veto the bill if it contains more than $92 billion.
