State Opens Embassy Market for Small MEP Contractors
The U.S. Dept. of State’s Overseas Buildings Operations is implementing a new policy to attract a larger pool of contractors from disabled service veterans, minority contractors and HubZone contractors. OBO, in its effort to address “barrier to entry issues,” says it is targeting small MEP contractors presently lacking overseas experience. This will enable MEP contractors to be mentored on a one-time basis to obtain a facility clearance, OBO says.
