Pipeline Between the Caspian and Mediterranean Sea Completed

elders have put the finishing touches on the 1,760-km oil pipeline that will deliver 1 million barrels per day or from the Caspian Sea oil fields in Azerbaijan to the Mediterranean port of Ceyhan in Turkey. Contracts for the $3-billion project were awarded in 2002, with Bechtel Ltd., London, providing engineering, procurement and construction management services.
