Feds Search Two Central Artery Subs In National Probe of Sham DBEs
A nationwide federal investigation into sham disadvantaged businesses has hit Bostons $14.6-billion Central Artery/Tunnel project. The offices of two demolition firms were searched earlier this month as officials push to uncover fraud schemes.
Agents from the U.S. Transportation Dept.s Office of the Inspector General on April 1 searched Testa Corp. and PT Corp., both of Lynnfield, Mass. Testa is completing at least $40 million in CA/T subcontracts to demolish the Interstate-93 mainline viaduct and High Bridge over the Charles River.
