Rear Adm. Michael K. Loose, the number-two officer at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, is scheduled to assume command of NAVFAC on Oct. 24.
Loose, NAVFAC's current vice commander, is to relieve the retiring Rear Adm. Michael R. Johnson as the organization's commander and the Navy's chief of civil engineers in a ceremony at the Washington Navy Yard.
