Salt Lake City'sOrange Street Sewer Line, now a half century old, was severely deteriorated with some parts already collapsed. Kiewit rehabilitated about three miles of the 48-in.-dia reinforced concrete pipe to eliminate infiltration, improve hydraulic flow and extend its service life.
Pipe rehabilitation involved both slip-lining with centrifugally cast, fiberglass-reinforced polymer mortar pipe and cured-in-place-pipe technologies.
