KENTUCKY The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $6.8-million firm-fixed-price contract to The Judy Co. Inc. for modifications to the Wolf Creek Dam in Jamestown. The project entails building a temporary water collection and treatment system, a gallery-grout curtain and a plaza-gallery curtain. MARYLAND The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $9.1-million firm-fixed-price design-build contract to the John C. Grimberg Co. MISSOURI Express Scripts Inc. has selected a joint-venture of Clayco and Paric to build the fourth building at its headquarters campus in Berkeley in north St. Louis County. The three-story, 227,000-sq-ft office building will house about 1,500 employees. Construction is expected to be completed by late 2011. The estimated construction cost is $70 million. NEW HAMPSHIRE The Concord School Board has awarded a $40.7-million contract to Harvey Construction to build three new elementary schools. Conant Elementary School will be 73,702 sq ft, Kimball Elementary School will be 71,471 sq ft, and Dame/Eastman Elementary School will be 59,223 sq ft. NEW JERSEY The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a $19.1-million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to Sevenson Environmental Services Inc. for environmental remediation work at the Vineland Chemical Co. Superfund site. The project entails excavating, dewatering and off-site transportation of contaminated materials. The Vineland Chemical Co. formerly manufactured arsenic-based herbicides at the site. TENNESSEE The U.S. Army Contracting Command has awarded a $9.1-million firm-fixed-price contract to Ordnance Systems Inc. to design the Acid Facility Relocation Project at Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport. This project includes building a new chemical manufacturing facility to produce the high explosives RDX and HMX.
