ARIZONA Entellus Inc. has been selected by the city of Mesa, Dept. of Engineering, to provide design services for improvements to Broadway Road between 70th Street and Hawes Road. The project includes two through lanes and a bike lane in each direction, as well as street lighting, signals and landscaping. The project is valued at $11 million. GEORGIA Turner Construction Co. has been awarded a $63-million contract by the Georgia Institute of Technology to provide construction services on the G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons. The 220,000-sq-ft facility will include classrooms; a learning center that connects students with faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate teaching assistants and student peers on a walk-in basis; science laboratories; lecture halls and an information commons equipped with computer workstations. ILLINOIS Leopardo Cos. Inc. has been awarded a $13.5-million contract by Jewel-Osco to demolish an existing Jewel-Osco store in Chicago and build a new Jewel-Osco supermarket. The new two-story, 84,000-sq-ft store will triple the size of the previous facility and include 124 underground parking spaces. The project is aiming for LEED Silver status and will include a prevegetated modular green roofing system. The project is expected to be completed by August 2010. Leopardo Cos. IOWA Neumann Brothers Inc. was awarded on Jan. 14, 2010, a $24.9-million firm-fixed-price contract by the National Guard Bureau Iowa for the design and construction of a new Armed Forces Reserve Center with field maintenance shop in Middletown. NEW YORK Consigli Construction Co. Inc. has been awarded a $46-million contract to renovate Building 757 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The project entails a gut renovation of the existing 112,000-sq-ft library to create a science center to accommodate the growing chemistry and physics departments. The project also will entail preserving the historic fabric of the building, including stained-glass windows, wainscoting, marble and bookcases. NORTH DAKOTA  The Meinecke-Johnson Co. was awarded a $7.2-million firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the construction of an Army Reserve Center in Fargo. The project is expected to be completed by May 2011. Meinecke-Johnson Company., Five N. 14th St., Fargo, 58108.

OREGON Andersen/West Coast Contractors Joint Venture has been awarded a $28-million CM/GC contract by the Port of Newport to build the new National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Marine Operations Center-Pacific. The facility will be constructed on a five-acre site along the south bank of Yaquina Bay in the South Beach area of Newport. The upland facility will include a LEED-certified office building and warehouse. The in-water work comprises a 1,300-ft-long wharf connected to the land by two 260-ft-long trestles. The wharf will provide berths for four NOAA ships, as well as two visiting vessels, for a total of six berths. The project is expected to be completed by June 2011. SOUTH CAROLINA J2 Engineering Inc. has been awarded a $7.1-million firm-fixed-price task order under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award construction contract for repair of Buildings 330 and 333 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in Beaufort. TEXAS AECOM Technology Corp. has been awarded a $30-million contract by Prairie Link Constructors to complete the design of state Highway 161, phase four. The project entails a new, 6.5-mile link in the highway loop around Dallas. The project, which has an estimated construction value of $416 million, is slated for completion during 2012. The project includes raising rail lines, lowering roadways, renovation of bridges and regrading and re-paving of the parking lot. The overall program is valued at $133 million. The project entails construction of an earth-fill dam approximately 100 ft high and a saddle dam approximately 25 ft high, near Tridell. The two dams will form a reservoir with a capacity of approximately 2,560 acre-feet.
