TENNESSEE The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga plans to build a five-story, 180,000-sq-ft library at the corner of Vine and Douglas streets. It will include a 200-seat auditorium/lecture hall and a café. Energy-saving features include a green roof for the café and below-grade cisterns to collect rainwater for site irrigation. CALIFORNIA Stronghold Engineering has been awarded a $7.3-million contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the repair and upgrade of Bachelor Enlisted Quarters Building 2002 at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center located near Bridgeport. The work includes renovations to bring the building into compliance with current building, seismic and fire-safety codes and installation of a communications and solar-energy system.
