CONNECTICUT Dewberry-Goodkind was selected by the town of New Haven as the prime designer for a replacement bridge on Sackett Point Road over the Quinnipiac River. The existing, structurally deficient bridge will be replaced with a new structure that will include a raised deck and roadway levels to meet current Federal Emergency Management Agency flood-plain elevation benchmarks. The bridge will have a wider design to handle increased traffic and expanded capacity to carry utilities. Related work will include rebuilding of approaches and realignment of the roadway to reduce environmental impact. The project is estimated at $12 million.
