MASSACHUSETTS The city of Boston has received a proposal from Raymond Property Co. to demolish the 11story Government Center Garage located between New Chardon and New Sudbury Streets and build two office towers, 42 and 52 stories tall, in its place. At 710 ft, the taller of the two towers would be one of the tallest buildings in Boston. The project would involve over 3 million sq ft of development space and would also include a hotel, condominiums and retail space. The developer has selected design firm Cook + Fox as architect, and the redevelopment plan’s cost is estimated in the submitted proposal at $2.3 billion.
