CALIFORNIA Hunt Construction Group Inc. broke ground on the new 160,000-sq-ft Hall of Science Building located on the California State University, Long Beach campus. The $86.8-million construction contract calls for construction of a research and science building that will accommodate research labs, six lecture halls, classrooms, faculty office space, storage facilities and a vivarium. VIRGINIA Foster Wheeler Ltd. was awarded a contract by The Shaw Group Inc. for the design and supply of two circulating fluidized-bed steam generators, which are part of the new 585-MW Dominion Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center near St. Paul.
