Coffee, Architects & Associates has been selected as the architect by the city of Newport Beach, and gkkworks selected as construction manager for construction of a new 35,000-sq-ft senior center in Newport Beach. TEXAS Design is under way by HKS for the Dallas County Jail Medical Modernization-Phase 2 located at 600 Commerce St. in Dallas. CALIFORNIA Turner Construction Co. has been awarded a contract valued at $280-million to provide preconstruction and construction services for the Knight Management Center for Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business in Stanford. The new eight-building, 360,000-sq-ft facility will include a 600-seat lecture hall, dining facilities and classroom space, and a 900-space underground parking structure. The environmentally sustainable project will seek to achieve a LEED Platinum certification. FLORIDA Lillibridge has been selected by Health First to develop a three-story, 76,000-sq-ft medical office building in Brevard County. MASSACHUSETTS A $29-million contract was awarded to Suffolk Construction Co. Inc. by Suffolk University to renovate the facade of the Modern Theatre building in Boston.
