Skanska has named Robert D. Flory as senior vice president in its building business unit in California, based in Oakland. He joins the firm after a 23-year tenure at Vanir Construction Management Inc., where, most recently, he was chief operating officer. Flory also is a former president and director of the northern California chapter of the Construction Management Association of America. Dwight Pullen also has joined the firm as senior vice president and director of its aviation center of excellence. He was vice president and global director of aviation at CH2M Ltd. He is based in Denver.
The Society for Marketing Professional Services, Alexandria, Va., has named Michael V. Geary as CEO, effective Oct. 8. He now is president and CEO of AmericanHort, the trade group for the U.S. horticulture industry, a position he has held since 2010. Geary succeeds Ronald Worth, who was CEO of SMPS for 16 years, the group says. Geary also is a former senior director at the National Association of Home Builders.
